Your job
Laboratory Analyst with an affinity for IT – Focus on LIMS Management
Diagnostics and Crisis Organisation (DCO) Department
Are you an analytical laboratory professional with a strong affinity for IT and system optimisation? We’re looking for an enthusiastic Analyst to support the implementation of a new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). In this role, you’ll serve as the vital link between lab operations and technology. You'll play a key role in (re)designing workflows, system integrations (including equipment), and reporting structures. Experience with C# or Delphi is a plus. Part of your work will take place in our High Containment Unit, where safety and quality are top priorities.
At DCO, diagnostic testing is supported by a LIMS. Our current system no longer meets today’s demands and will soon be replaced by an advanced Siemens LIMS. As an MBO/HBO-level Analyst, you will take on a central role in the implementation of this new system.
The core of this position lies in helping shape, configure, and manage the new LIMS. The system must be rebuilt from the ground up—from setting up the user interface and designing reports to integrating other systems and data sources.
Your tasks and responsibilities include:
- Identifying user needs and translating them into functional LIMS adaptations.
- Configuring workflows, integrations, and reporting tools within the system.
- Testing system updates and ensuring proper functionality.
- Developing user manuals and system documentation.
- Training colleagues on how to use the LIMS effectively.
- Acting as a liaison between lab users, the IT department, and Siemens consultants (the system supplier).
You will work closely with colleagues, IT professionals, and Siemens to fully configure and implement the new LIMS. You’ll be part of a small, dedicated team of 3–4 people and will also work in our High Containment Unit. Your primary workplace is Lelystad.
Your qualities
You are a hands-on, proactive Analyst with a practical mindset.
You bring:
- MBO or HBO level of education and thinking, preferably in a relevant field.
- A proven interest in automation and IT (hands-on experience is an advantage).
- Knowledge of—and preferably experience with—C# and/or Delphi.
- A solution-oriented, quality-focused work attitude.
- The ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Flexibility to work at multiple laboratory locations.
- A good command of both Dutch and English.
- A customer- and service-oriented mindset.
You will work here
